Chen Dental Celebrates Its Patients with Family Picnic

Funds raised benefit the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation

SEBRING, F.L. The second annual family picnic is a patient appreciation event hosted by Chen Dental.  Team members use this time to engage with patients and members of the community outside of the dental chair. It’s not only an atmosphere of celebrating patients and families, but an opportunity for the community to rally together behind a greater cause.

Every ticket to the family picnic represents a $5 donation which benefits the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. Since the first family picnic in 2017, Chen Dental has raised over $5,000. “The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation Central and Northeastern Florida Chapter is so grateful to Chen Dental for their continued support of the Foundation and their patients. The mission of the Foundation is to cure Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. Community support from partners like Chen Dental is imperative to our success in finding a cure,” said Kim Teter, manager of the Take Steps Walk for Central and Northeastern Florida Chapter. Teter will attend the family picnic event on Sunday. Ticketholders will enjoy a free BBQ plate from Sonny’s BBQ, a sweet treat from the Cold Stone Creamery food truck, live DJ, entertainment from Dance Unlimited, prizes, gifts and more.

Chen Dental was established in 2005. Our vision is leaders serving the community beyond dentistry, and we strive to defy comparison in all aspects of modern dental care and giving from inside our office to the surrounding community. Within the past 13 years, Chen Dental has outgrown two offices and currently houses 17 dental suites, 30 team members, and three doctors. Patient care is our top priority in ensuring healthy and beautiful smiles.

9.24.18 - fall season is here!

The first day of fall was this past weekend! What did you do to bring in the new season? It may not look like fall for Forida residents, but there are still ways to capture the essence. From decorating your home with everything pumpkin, to Barktoberfest, to participating in the annual Turkey Trot 5K, there is a lot happening! Here is a list from yelp.com of the top 10 fun activities to do in Sebring. Or check out visitsebring.com

The changing of the season is also the perfect reminder for taking care of your  oral health too. Take an inventory of your oral hygiene products to see if it is time for a refill. This would include dental floss, mouthwash, toothpaste, toothbrush, etc. The American Dental Association recommends replacing your toothbrush approximately every 3-4 months or sooner if the bristles become frayed with use. Last but not least, it may be time to schedule your 6-month hygiene cleaning. Call our office to make an appointment today!

9.10.18 - It's easy to have a great smile

Good oral hygiene is something we all want and need. It’s easy to start a good health habit and then for one reason or another your “good habit” streak comes to an end. Your fresh start can begin with these simple words: “I commit to brush twice a day, floss every night, and schedule my routine hygiene visit every 6 months.” We recommend these four simple steps to help you remember the proper way to brush and floss. Also, download this great printable tracking tool to help your family stay committed to having healthy smiles.
